VisyZero; More Sustainable Coding and Labelling Solutions.
Zero in on the most sustainable methods for product coding and labelling. The VisyZero range brings together a selection of advanced solutions with one goal in mind - Sustainability.
Zero Liner
Zero Liner eliminates the backing paper traditionally associated with product labelling. Die cut Labels have long been the staple for ID labels used in print and apply labelling applications
Die cut labels are supported by a glassine backing paper which after the label is removed becomes a waste by product. For every meter of label applied there is a meter of backing paper waste produced. Visy Linerfree labels do not have backing paper every roll is 100% label.
No backing paper waste is generated resulting in a reduction of material waste and a more sustainable method of print and apply labelling.
Zero Label
Zero Label takes sustainable labelling even further with the elimination of the paper label altogether. VisyZero label uses a special Co2 laser to create a contrasting image on kraft paper and carton liners. The result is a print that can be both light or white like and darker or black like over print. This is ideal for kraft paper and carton liners which typically require a light background to act as a contrast to a darker overprint especially for barcodes.
Zero Label requires on label or ink or chemicals to produce print on kraft and carton liners. Prints can be made on line as products are conveyed past an array of laser marking units.
Zero Ink
Zero Ink advances the sustainability goal of reducing material usage with an ink free method of printing contrasting marks and codes on flexible packaging. Ink ribbons traditionally used for this process are no longer required. The sensitive flexible films and foils can be marked with contrast positive marks without any film damage thanks to the cold marking process afforded by UV laser marking. Even at high speeds onout bagging and filling systems UV laser can keep up with production and generate the mandatory date and batch code print required without ink ribbons or thermal printheads. The sustainability benefits are achieved in consumable use elimination and reduction in the use of replacement parts associated with Thermal Transfer marking.
